Job summary

Ingevity seeks a Process Control Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes and drive continuous improvement. You will support plant operations, control systems, and capital projects while applying data-driven insights to boost reliability and product quality.

Based in the United States, you’ll collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams, lead technical initiatives, and participate in on-call support for automation systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field.
• 5+ years as a process controls or automation engineer.
• Strong knowledge of process control fundamentals and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve manufacturing processes using control tech and engineering expertise.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process control issues to ensure safe operations.
• Develop and optimize control strategies for reliability, stability, and quality.
• Configure and support DCS, PLCs, historians, and MES.
• Lead capital projects and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
• Monitor metrics and apply data-driven improvements to efficiency.
