Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Company in Holland, MI is seeking a third forklift driver to join our sauces and pickles processing facility. The role requires completing an eye exam onsite and a written test as part of the selection process. You will operate a lift truck to unload materials and supply the production area, and load finished goods on trucks.

Shifts include 1st, 2nd and 3rd, with a 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM schedule. Candidates must be able to work weekends and some holidays.

Qualifications

• Able to read and write in English.
• Able to work outdoors as needed.
• Candidates must be available to work weekends and some holidays.
• Prior forklift experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload raw materials from trucks and supply the production area using a lift truck.
• Place materials and finished goods in proper storage locations.
• Load finished goods on trucks.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Complete observations and training on schedule.
• Support Plant Quality Systems and follow FSQ requirements.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader.

• Approximately 300 employees
• 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities- assigned based on business needs and seniority
• Union Plant represented by UFCW Local 705
• Products: Vinegar, BBQ Sauces, Relish, Pickles, Mustard
• The Holland plant is one of the oldest plants in the company and has been operating since 1897. Although, locally known as the “pickle factory”, currently pickles only make up 5% of the total production. In 2016 the factory installed grey poupon mills to allow the production of its iconic mustard.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Responsible for unloading raw materials from trucks, supplying the kitchen department with materials and ingredients as required via lift truck, placing raw materials and finished goods in proper storage areas, and loading finished goods on trucks
• Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
• Perform all required observations and training timely and as scheduled
• Support Plant Quality Systems
• Responsible to follow FSQ requirements such as GMP’s and other daily/job specific duties to support QRMP
• Work outdoors during any weather climate
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader
