Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a PhD- or MSc-level chemist to design and optimize synthetic routes for drug candidates. You will run experiments, analyze data, and help transfer processes from lab to manufacturing, working closely with analytical chemistry and engineering colleagues.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in organic chemistry or related field with 0–3 additional years of research, or MSc with 4–8 years of related experience.
• Strong background in synthetic organic chemistry and problem solving.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and speech; collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement safe, efficient, robust chemical processes for drug candidate synthesis.
• Analyze data, share findings with project teams, and support tech transfer to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Analytical Chemistry and engineering teams to enable clinical supply and regulatory filings.
