Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing or manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to follow detailed operating procedures and safety standards.
  • Experience with SAP or ERP inventory systems preferred.
  • Forklift, bulk material handling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and control chemical reactors to produce specialty chemical products.
  • Perform material handling, inventory tracking, and utility system oversight.
  • Prepare containers and packaging equipment for filling and perform cleaning, inspection, and maintenance.
  • Support shipping and receiving, including SAP transactions and loading/unloading materials.
  • Maintain production records and support safety, environmental compliance initiatives.

This role is responsible for operating and monitoring chemical processing equipment, performing material handling and quality checks, maintaining production records, and supporting shipping and receiving activities while adhering to all safety, environmental, and quality standards.Operate, monitor, and control chemical reactors and related process equipment to produce specialty chemical products in accordance with established ISO procedures, production formulas, and process parameters including temperature, pressure, flow rates, and viscosity.Perform material handling activities, equipment preparation, raw material additions, inventory monitoring, and utility system oversight, including cooling water, tempered water, nitrogen, instrument air, wastewater, demineralization, and other plant support systems.Conduct in-process and final product testing to verify product quality and make process adjustments as required.Complete production and inventory transactions in SAP, maintain accurate records, and support Responsible Care, environmental, and safety compliance initiatives.Prepare reusable containers and packaging equipment for filling through cleaning, inspection, maintenance, and required DOT testing while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Support shipping and receiving operations, including receiving and shipping raw materials and finished goods, processing SAP transactions, loading and unloading bulk materials, product storage, paperwork completion, and the cleaning, loading, and sampling of portable and custom bulk equipment.QualificationsPrevious experience in chemical manufacturing, industrial production, process operations, or a related manufacturing environment preferred.Ability to follow detailed operating procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.Experience with SAP or other ERP/inventory management systems preferred.Forklift, bulk material handling, or shipping and receiving experience is a plus.Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to workplace safety.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED).We understand that candidates will not meet every single desired qualification.
