Job summary

Solenis is seeking a Process Operator to run plant equipment and adhere strictly to SOPs and safety protocols in a rotating shift environment. The role covers multiple operating areas, with responsibilities for data logging, reporting deviations, and supporting shift handoffs.

The position requires a HS Diploma or equivalent and 3–5+ years in a chemical or industrial setting, with ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays and to perform physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in a chemical plant or industrial environment.
• Ability to qualify in multiple operating areas.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, lifting, working at heights, and working in variable conditions.

Responsibilities

• Execute Size Class Process Operator tasks as specified in SOPs.
• Execute Dry End Field Process Operator tasks as specified in SOPs.
• Execute Utility Field Process Operator tasks as specified in SOPs.
• Cover additional operating positions based on shift requirements and plant conditions.
• Follow all plant safety rules, EHS procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Record operating data, log entries, and time records accurately and on schedule.
• Report equipment problems, abnormal conditions, and process deviations to designated personnel.
• Relay essential information to the next shift and relevant departments when required.
• Complete tasks assigned by plant leadership to meet operational demands.

The Process Operator is responsible for operating plant equipment, executing procedures as written, and keeping production running within defined parameters. The role requires strict compliance with SOPs, attention to detail, and consistent execution of tasks in assigned operating areas.

Primary Responsibilities

Operations

• Execute Size Class Process Operator tasks as specified in SOPs.
• Execute Dry End Field Process Operator tasks as specified in SOPs.
• Execute Utility Field Process Operator tasks as specified in SOPs.
• Cover additional operating positions based on shift requirements and plant conditions.

Safety & Permitting

• Follow all plant safety rules, EHS procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Prepare equipment and issue critical work permits according to EHS standards.
• Serve as an Emergency Response Team (ERT) member and complete required training.
• Keep assigned work areas within plant housekeeping expectations.

Documentation & Reporting

• Record operating data, log entries, and time records accurately and on schedule.
• Report equipment problems, abnormal conditions, and process deviations to designated personnel.
• Relay essential information to the next shift and relevant departments when required.
• Complete tasks assigned by plant leadership to meet operational demands.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5+ years of experience in a chemical plant or industrial environment.
• Ability to qualify in multiple operating areas.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, lifting, working at heights, and working in variable conditions.

Preferred Experience

• Issuing work permits.
• Prior involvement in emergency response.

Work Environment

Rotating‑shift structure with approximately 3–7 operators per shift. Work performed around process equipment, utilities, and chemical systems. Tasks require focus, precision, and adherence to established procedures.

Compensation

The expected compensation range for this position is between $47,480.00 and $69,641.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
