Job summary

Gray AES seeks a Process Engineer III to join our team with offices in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Charlotte, Dallas or Lexington. You will focus on detailed process design for food and beverage processing lines and lead complex engineering efforts across projects.

You will execute the full project scope including design, budgeting, procurement, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting while collaborating with clients and internal teams. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with process emphasis.
• Experience in detailed process design for food and beverage processing lines.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, and AutoCAD.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• Travel required for site audits, installations, and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex process design efforts for food & beverage applications.
• Execute full project scope: design, budgeting, procurement, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients and internal teams to meet goals.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering deliverables.
• Develop technical documentation including equipment lists, flow diagrams and narratives.

Requirements

Travel required for site audits, installations, and customer meetings as per project needs. Exposure to variable conditions during site visits. Technical Leadership: Lead complex process design efforts, applying advanced engineering concepts to develop process systems for food and beverage applications. Project Execution: Execute the full scope of project work, including design, budgeting, implementation, procurement, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of processing systems. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, clients, and internal teams to ensure project goals are aligned and executed successfully. Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, adopting best practices to enhance engineering quality and project deliverables. Commissioning and Support: Provide support for on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and operational optimization to ensure system performance meets design specifications. Develop technical documentation, including equipment lists, flow diagrams, and process narratives.
