Job summary

GrayMatter is seeking a Process Automation Engineer in Warrendale, PA to design, develop, and implement automation solutions for pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. You will handle control system configuration, programming, and system integration, ensuring compliant, reliable operations.

You will analyze process requirements, develop control logic and HMI applications, and prepare technical and validation documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Experience with control system configuration, programming, and integration.
• Knowledge of automation project documentation and validation practices.

Job description

Job Title: Process Automation Engineer

Job Duties: Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for industrial and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, including control system configuration, programming, and system integration. Analyze process requirements and develop control logic, human-machine interface applications, and system documentation to support automated manufacturing operations. Perform system testing, validation, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable and compliant operation of automated process equipment. Support process improvement initiatives by analyzing system performance data and implementing automation enhancements. Prepare and maintain technical and validation documentation in accordance with industry and regulatory standards. Collaborate with engineering teams, project managers, and client personnel to support automation projects and ensure systems meet operational and compliance requirements.
