Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP is seeking a Senior/Lead Process Assurance Advisor to strengthen governance, controls, and actionable insights across the value chain. The role collaborates with process owners, operational teams, and technology partners to deliver durable improvements.

Located in Findlay, OH with opportunities in Houston, TX and San Antonio, TX, the position emphasizes analytics-driven assurance, automation, and AI-enabled monitoring to reduce manual work and enhance performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Experience in governance, controls, and process assurance across complex environments is required.
Experience with analytics, reporting tools, workflow technologies, or AI-enabled monitoring is preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluate Plan-to-Produce governance mechanisms, controls, and operating practices for effectiveness.
Analyze process, control, exception, and data signals to identify risks and performance gaps.
Develop assurance measures, dashboards, and recommendations for action prioritization.
Assess approvals, decision records, exceptions, and corrective actions for accountability.
Influence ownership and action through cross-functional engagement with process owners and technology teams.
Provide assurance input to change-control decisions and monitor sustainment plans.
Identify analytics and AI use cases to enhance monitoring and decision support.
Improve governance reporting and reduce manual effort through better methods.
