Job summary

Orchestra Life Sciences is seeking a Junior Process Architect to support the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of business processes across the organization. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and regulatory alignment in a growing biotech setting.

You will map workflows, identify inefficiencies, and help implement scalable, compliant processes that support growth, working with R&D, Clinical Ops, Quality, Regulatory, HR, and Finance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 0–3 years of experience in process improvement or related role.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to document processes using flowcharts and narratives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with process mapping tools is a plus.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in documenting and mapping end-to-end business processes using standard process architecture methodologies
  • Support process improvement initiatives across functions such as R&D, Clinical Operations, Quality, Regulatory, HR, and Finance
  • Participate in stakeholder interviews and working sessions to understand current-state workflows
  • Help analyze process gaps, redundancies, and risks; contribute to future-state process design
  • Maintain process documentation, SOPs, and workflows in designated systems or repositories
  • Support change management efforts, including training materials and communications
  • Collaborate with IT and systems teams to align processes with tools and platforms
  • Ensure processes align with applicable regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., GxP where applicable)
  • Track process metrics and assist with reporting on process performance and improvements

Position Summary

The Process Architect (Junior) will support the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of business and operational processes across Orchestra Life Sciences. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with a strong interest in process optimization, systems thinking, and cross-functional collaboration within a regulated life sciences environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with functional leaders, project teams, and operations partners to help map workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement scalable, compliant processes that support the company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in documenting and mapping end-to-end business processes using standard process architecture methodologies
  • Support process improvement initiatives across functions such as R&D, Clinical Operations, Quality, Regulatory, HR, and Finance

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, Operations Management, or a related field
  • 0–3 years of experience in process improvement, operations, business analysis, or a related role
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to document processes clearly using flowcharts, diagrams, and written narratives
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with process mapping tools is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred:

  • Exposure to life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or regulated industries
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, or similar process improvement methodologies
  • Experience supporting SOP development or operational documentation
  • Interest in scaling processes within a growing organization
