Scope of Position
  • Provide off-shift 2nd level technical support for 24/7 manufacturing operations.
  • Use engineering principles for troubleshooting, technical assignments, and projects.
  • Participate in resolving process and product issues collaboratively.
  • Work with maintenance and engineering to improve processes and reliability.
  • Execute projects independently to meet department goals.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Support process and equipment issues during your shift.
  • Manage process performance improvements, recipes, and small projects.
  • Analyze data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical information to maintenance and operations teams.
  • Develop training and troubleshooting documentation.
  • Assist in equipment commissioning and qualification.
  • Support training of production personnel on new equipment.
  • Document procedures, calibrations, and configurations.
  • Support transfer of new technology to production.
Work Hours and Schedule

Night shift (C or D schedule), 12-hour shifts, with ad-hoc support as needed.

Travel

Less than 2%.

Minimum Education Required

High School/GED; technical degree preferred.

Experience & Skills
  • 3+ years manufacturing experience, fiber optic/cabling preferred.
  • Strong technical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and learn new technologies quickly.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Desired Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of plastic extrusion and cabling processes.
  • Design software (AutoCAD, Inventor), data analysis (PowerBI).
  • Basic measurement tools proficiency.
Soft Skills
  • Engaging, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Effective data presentation skills.

This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The hourly rate ranges from $29.75 to $34.50, depending on experience and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), pension, life insurance, disability, and PTO.
