Job summary

Eastman Chemical Company in Longview, Texas is seeking a Process Analyzer Engineer to provide engineering support for process analyzers, sample systems and on-line analytics across plant operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in analytical lab or with process analyzer and sample system design and/or maintenance.
• Competency in electrical engineering concepts and theory, with a general understanding of the application of power distribution, controls and process instrumentation.
• Basic understanding of process analysis.
• Familiarity with analytical equipment design and application.
• Familiarity with sample system design and application.
• General Engineering and Project Management Skills, including: teamwork, handling high-volume urgent issues, self-management, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for process analyzers and sample systems at the Longview site and other locations as needed.
• Develop specifications and scope for procurement/construction of analyzer projects.
• Develop forecast cost and schedule estimates for analyzer projects.
• Lead standards development for analyzer and sample system practices, aligned with industry standards.
• Interpret codes and ensure application across site projects.
• Provide training on analyzer technologies to operating departments and mechanics.
• Stay updated on analyzer technologies via vendors, symposiums, and literature.
• Offer on-call analyzer engineering support for plant maintenance and operations.
