Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Long Term Acute Care in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is a Staff position at Select Specialty Hospital - Pittsburgh, offering a full-time schedule and competitive hourly pay.

Responsibilities include following nursing care plans, participating in QAPI and infection control, and delivering high-quality patient care in a post-ICU setting. A $15,000 sign-on bonus and strong benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid temporary or permanent State Registered Nurse License.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• ACLS required or completed prior to end of orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Adhering to operative, invasive procedure policies, standards, and relevant bundles.
• Following documentation procedures and reviewing physician documentation to ensure compliance.
• Performing non-procedural duties such as central line care, PICC insertions, wound care, admissions, patient teaching, IV care and transport.
• Participating as a member of the QAPI and Infection Control Committees.
• Managing decontamination, processing, sterilization and storage of supplies and instruments.
• Handling scheduling and supervision of invasive procedures.
• Monitoring medication and controlled substances.
• Monitoring and managing all procedure room emergency equipment and inventory.
• Maintaining logs and records (pre/post-operative, temperature, humidity, sterilization, specimen).
