Job summary

Piedmont Macon North is seeking a Procedure Support Tech I to perform patient and non-patient support under the RN supervisor. This role helps with OR equipment, prepares patients for procedures, and transports patients as needed to keep perioperative operations efficient.

The position emphasizes maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe procedural environment as part of the operating room team and contributing to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, maintaining operating room equipment, positioning patients and preparing for procedures.
• Transport patients as required and help keep the environment clean and safe in perioperative areas.

This job is responsible for performing a range of self-directed support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative area(s). Work involves inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, maintaining operating room equipment, positioning patients, and patient preparation for procedure. If needed assists with case cart preparation. Assists in maintaining a clean, sanitary, orderly procedural environment, and transports patients as required. To function as an integral member of the operating room team and contribute to maintaining a safe, professional, respectful and effective patient care environment.
