Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking a Procedure Support Tech I to assist in the perioperative area under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse.

You will inventory, disassemble, clean, reassemble and maintain operating room equipment; position patients; prepare for procedures; assist with case carts; and transport patients while upholding a safe, sanitary and respectful surgical environment.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support certification upon hire required.

This job is responsible for performing a range of self-directed support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative area(s). Work involves inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, maintaining operating room equipment, positioning patients, and patient preparation for procedure. If needed assists with case cart preparation. Assists in maintaining a clean, sanitary, orderly procedural environment, and transports patients as required. To function as an integral member of the operating room team and contribute to maintaining a safe, professional, respectful and effective patient care environment.
