Job summary

Indiana Fertility Institute is seeking an experienced Procedure Area Medical Assistant for a full-time role in Indianapolis. The candidate will educate, treat, and inform patients for their appointments and maintain strong patient relationships.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians, preparing patients for exams, documenting care, organizing rooms, and handling scheduling and admin tasks. OB/GYN experience is preferred and BLS is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program; Certified or Registered MA preferred.
• 2 years of experience required; OB/GYN experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred; certification a plus.
• Proficiency in keyboarding; experience with electronic medical records.
• Knowledge of HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assisting physician with patient care.
• Prepare patients for exams or treatment including taking patient history and vitals; phlebotomy.
• Document patient care in the medical records system accurately and timely.
• Organize, stock and clean rooms; sterilize instruments.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments; perform general administrative tasks.
