Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of Pre/Post, OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
• BLS or BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Develop an individualized perioperative plan of care.
• Protect the patient from injury and ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Communicate patient status and needs during perioperative care.
• Administer medications safely using the 8 rights of medication administration.
• Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to Universal Protocol and site policies.
• Provide hand-off reports and participate in quality improvement activities.
