Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Dallas is seeking a Procedural Registered Nurse to oversee patient care by the nursing practice model within the healthcare team.

Your responsibilities will include assessing patients, identifying nursing diagnoses, and developing personalized care plans, with delegation of tasks based on Texas nursing laws and staff skills.

On-call duties after hours and weekends may be required, with a focus on safe patient navigation and timely care delivery.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
  • Must have 2+ years of experience as an RN in ED, Critical Care/ICU, OR, or Procedural areas (GI/Endo a plus).
  • Must reside within 1 hour (60 minutes) commutable distance of 3500 Gaston Ave, Dallas, 75246.
  • Registered Nurse RN, active license.
  • BLS and ACLS are required.
  • Telemetry test required upon hire.

  • Assess patients and identify nursing diagnoses and develop personalized care plans.
  • Assess nursing practices to ensure quality and effectiveness, track indicators, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Teach patients and staff; integrate education into care at all levels.

Job description

SHIFT

Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3:00pm. On call required when department is closed, 5:00pm – 6:00am M-F, weekend 12:00pm Saturdays – 6:00am Monday morning (Frequency depends on number of people actively taking on call at any given time).

As a Procedural Registered Nurse, you will work as a licensed professional and use the nursing practice model to oversee patient care by the healthcare team. Your responsibilities will involve assessing patients, identifying nursing diagnoses for health issues, and developing personalized care plans. You will also assess patient responses regularly. Your contributions will help patients navigate healthcare safely by understanding their needs and the healthcare system. This will prevent complications and delays. Delegating tasks to other staff will be based on Texas nursing laws, patient conditions, and staff skills.
