Job Summary

SHIFT: Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm

On call rotating nights, weekends and holidays

As a Procedural Registered Nurse, you will work as a licensed professional and use the nursing practice model to oversee patient care by the healthcare team. Your responsibilities will involve assessing patients, identifying nursing diagnoses for health issues, and developing personalized care plans. You will also assess patient responses regularly. Your contributions will help patients navigate healthcare safely by understanding their needs and the healthcare system. Delegating tasks to other staff will be based on Texas nursing laws, patient conditions, and staff skills.

  • Assess patients and prioritize their needs, creating and adjusting care plans for better outcomes.
  • Evaluate nursing practices to ensure quality and effectiveness, tracking indicators, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Educate patients and staff, integrating education into all levels of care.
  • Use systems thinking strategies and resources to solve problems for patients, families, and staff.
  • Contribute to decision-making, recognize others' contributions, and promote professionalism in nursing practice.

  • Deep understanding of nursing practices and patient care standards.
  • Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and professional standards, including certification and accreditation requirements.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinking skills to address problems effectively.
  • Ability to monitor patient health and communicate changes efficiently.
  • Provide patient-centered care that respects diversity, following nursing standards and using the nursing process.

Minimum Qualifications
  • BSN or higher
  • 3+ years of experience as a RN
  • 1+ years of experience in Day Surgery in a hospital setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer
