Job summary

HCA Florida Ocala Hospital is seeking a Procedural Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the flow of supplies and equipment in procedural areas such as operating rooms and cath labs. You will collaborate with medical staff, department heads, and vendors to ensure timely procurement, efficient inventory management, and cost-effective resource utilization.

The role requires 3–5 years in healthcare supply chain, leadership experience, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Experience managing supply chain operations for procedural areas is highly desirable.
• Three years of leadership experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Certification in SCM (CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
• Certified Surgical Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement standardized procedures for supply chain management within procedural areas.
• Manage inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment to ensure adequate stock while minimizing waste and obsolescence.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and patient care.
• Monitor and analyze supply chain metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Forecast supply needs based on procedural schedules and historical data.
• Process purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of supplies.
• Implement and maintain inventory control systems, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
• Conduct regular audits of supply rooms and storage areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper inventory levels.
• Train and supervise staff on supply chain procedures and best practices.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in healthcare supply chain management.
• Ensure accurate item data in MMIS systems.
• Prepare schedules for on-site OR Supply Chain Operations to meet clinical scheduling needs.
• Manage Tissue Tracker system, including vendor certifications, recalls, and quarterly inventory verification.
• Manage expiration dates for all supplies in procedural areas.
