Pardee UNC Health Care in North Carolina is seeking a Procedural Registered Nurse I to coordinate and deliver patient care in the Cath Lab and interventional radiology settings. You will perform tasks such as moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, pacing, cardioversion, and medication administration.

You will collaborate with physicians and the nursing team to ensure safe, high-quality care and efficient discharge planning, while upholding infection control and professional standards.

Qualificações

• Must hold a North Carolina RN license or compact-state license by start date.
• Two years of acute care RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• ACLS certification required by start date.

Summary

Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Procedural Registered Nurse I (RN) is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a range of settings including in a cardiovascular catheterization laboratory ("Cath Lab") or interventional radiological care. The Procedural RN will perform a range of clinical tasks that may include moderate sedation, monitoring of hemodynamics and temporary pacing, cardioversion/defibrillation, and medication administration, including drips. Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Administers patient care under the direction of a physician. Identifies and pursues expected patient outcomes in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team. Performs a range of clinical tasks that may include moderate sedation, monitoring of hemodynamics and temporary pacing, cardioversion/defibrillation, and medication administration, including drips
• Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies and procedures.
• Organizes and prioritizes care according to patient/family needs. Consults with appropriate resources in a timely fashion regarding patients with complex care issues, unusual teaching needs and/or those at high risk for discharge planning.
• Collaborates with peers in a clinical operations environment, including fostering intra/interdepartmental communication.
• Synthesizes data in complex situations to determine priorities for care, including appropriate physical, psychosocial, education and safety needs. Assesses and anticipates discharge needs of individual patients and families.
• Communicates with patient/family to prepare or update the plan of care using cultural competency and active listening. Develops relationships with patients and their families that promote their ability to advocate for patient and family needs.
• Develops clinical and operational excellence in self and in peers through education and training.
• Promotes a safe, clean and secure hospital environment for all, including the application of standard precautions and principles of infection control.

Other information

REQUIRED

• Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina or one of compact states - required by first date of clinical care
• Two (2) years of experience working in an acute care setting in a Registered Nurse (RN) role
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification required by first date of clinical care
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification - required by first date of clinical care

PREFERRED

• Experience working in critical or emergency care in a Registered Nurse (RN) role
• Three (3) years of experience working in an acute care setting in a Registered Nurse (RN) role
