Job summary

HCA Florida Westside Hospital is seeking a Procedural Inventory Manager to oversee and optimize supplies and equipment in procedural areas such as ORs, cath labs and endoscopy. The role partners with clinical staff, vendors and leadership to ensure timely procurement, efficient inventory control, and cost-effective resource utilization.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in healthcare supply chain, leadership experience, and a degree in SCM or healthcare administration.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of hospital supply chain experience.
  • Experience managing supply chain operations for procedural areas is highly desirable.
  • Three years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in SCM, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
  • Certification in SCM (CSCP/CPSM) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement standardized procedures for supply chain management within procedural areas.
  • Manage inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment to ensure adequate stock while minimizing waste and obsolescence.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and patient care.
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Forecast supply needs based on procedural schedules and historical data.
  • Process purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of supplies.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control systems, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
  • Conduct regular audits of supply rooms and storage areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper inventory levels.
  • Train and supervise staff on supply chain procedures and best practices.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Procedural Ops Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the flow of supplies and equipment within a hospital setting, specifically focusing on procedural areas such as operating rooms, cath labs, and endoscopy. This role involves collaborating with medical staff, department heads, and vendors to ensure timely procurement, efficient inventory management, and cost-effective utilization of resources for all procedures.

Major Responsibility:

  • Develop and implement standardized procedures for supply chain management within procedural areas.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Proven experience in managing supply chain operations for procedural areas is highly desirable.
  • Three years of leadership experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Licenses, Certifications & Training:
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)) is a plus.
  • Certified Surgical Technician preferred.
