Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Burlington, MA is seeking a Clinical Procedure Technician to support physicians, nurses, and staff during pre, intra, and post procedural care. Under supervision, you will prepare rooms, gather equipment, monitor patient vitals, and assist with EKGs and specimen handling.

You will stock supplies, maintain sterile technique, troubleshoot equipment, document results in the EMR, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education: Successful completion of high school or GED.
• Licensure, Certification, Registration: BLS American Heart Association or BLS American Red Cross required.
• Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists physician during procedures by handling equipment and maintaining patient safety.
• Prepares procedural rooms and readiness of equipment and supplies.
• Uses sterile techniques to set up for procedures and prep patients.
• Monitors patient status, performs vital signs, and reports abnormal results.
• Records test results in the EMR and maintains instrument and room cleanliness.
• Calibrates and troubleshoots equipment; restocks supplies for next day.
