onsemi in Hopewell Junction, NY seeks a Probe Technician to support semiconductor manufacturing through equipment maintenance, process execution, and day-to-day operations. This multi-skilled, hands-on role requires willingness to learn, troubleshoot, and adhere to safety and cleanroom standards.

The role covers performing PMs, equipment startup/shutdown, and collaboration with engineers across shifts; Day 1/2 schedule as listed, 12-hour compressed shifts in a cleanroom.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1–2 years of technical manufacturing experience.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day in a cleanroom environment while wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, and gloves.
• Proficient in basic computer tools and Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting.
• Must be self-motivated, showing initiative and drive to exceed performance expectations.
• Analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with close attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a diverse team environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
• Able to speak and write fluently in English.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate production tools safely and efficiently within a cleanroom environment.
• Load/unload wafers, materials, and tools in accordance with operating procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance, alarms, and system statuses.
• Support production goals by maintaining equipment uptime and tool availability.
• Follow all safety, ESD, and contamination control guidelines.
• Perform preventive maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Assist with equipment repairs, part replacements, and system calibrations.
• Maintain maintenance logs and documentation in accordance with company standards.
