Job summary

Ecobat is seeking a hands-on operations technician to perform kettle treatments, cast pig/ingot and block lead, using forklifts and scrubbers to keep production moving. The role requires adherence to environmental, health, safety and housekeeping programs, plus willingness to learn casting machinery and to handle red phosphorus safely.

Strong communication and basic math skills are needed, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

IV. Physical Requirements & Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach and pull with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is required to talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift, push, pull and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift, push, pull and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move up to 65 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee occasionally works in high precarious places, in outside weather conditions. He works with conditions and materials that if not managed properly could react explosively. He is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
