Job summary

The Probation Service, part of the Ministry of Justice, is recruiting Probation Services Officers to work across various locations in the Yorkshire and Humber region. You will assess, implement sentences, manage caseloads and prepare reports, with training and annual competency-based progression.

Successful applicants must have the right to work in the UK and will sit the Civil Service Judgement Test (CSJT) as part of assessment. Both full-time and part-time roles are available.

Qualifications

• The job holder will undertake the full range of work with people on probation before and after sentence.
• This will include assessment, sentence implementation, offender management and producing reports.
• The job holder will provide case management support to a full range of people on probation utilising service procedures and practice directions that underpin professional judgement.
