Job summary

Kansas Judicial Branch is seeking a Court Services Officer I in Geary County. The role supervises adult and juvenile probation cases, prepares detailed reports for the District Court, and ensures compliance with all court-ordered conditions. Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university; preferred majors in corrections, counseling, criminology, psychology, social work, sociology or related field.
• Knowledge of interviewing techniques.
• Knowledge of English usage and written communication.
• Ability to communicate information concisely and accurately.
• Prior probation work experience or related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise general assignment caseload or other specified caseload as directed by Chief CSO.
• Prepare detailed adult and juvenile investigative reports for the District Court (presentence, violations of probation, transfer of supervision).
• Verify completion of all court-ordered probation conditions.
• Maintain chronological records of contacts with clients and caseloads.
• Assist clients in identifying needs and referring them to appropriate agencies; engage community resources.
• Supervise collection of restitution and costs; adhere to state and local policies; perform duties as required by Chief CSO or Court.
• Complete administrative requirements including statistics and correspondence with other agencies.
• Utilize Tyler Supervision Case Management System in all cases.
