Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience in Probation & Parole, Corrections, or related office support roles within the Missouri Department of Corrections.
• Four or more years of vocational/paraprofessional experience in social services, probation/parole, corrections, law enforcement, counseling, health, or related administrative fields; valid driver's license included.

Responsibilities

• Investigates offender home/work/social environments for circuit courts/Parole Board; collects/verifies data and prepares reports.
• Counsels offenders in homes, workplaces or confinement and attends court for assignments and reports.
• Assists in vocational/educational/social adjustment planning; coordinates with public/private agencies; investigates violations; issues warrants as needed.
• Prepares statistical activity reports; conducts breathalyzer/urinalysis testing; assists in investigations and research; supports department committees.
• Possession of a valid vehicle operator’s license; completes safety training including defensive tactics and re-qualification annually.
