Job summary

The Colorado Judicial Branch is seeking a Probation Officer I to perform entry-level duties including investigation, assessment, supervision, and monitoring of clients' court-ordered services. You will complete required training and assist in preparing reports for the court.

Key responsibilities include case management, conducting face-to-face interviews, assessing risk, developing case plans, and providing testimony when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, sociology, psychology, human services or related field.
• OR an associate’s degree with 2 years of related experience.
• OR a HS diploma/GED with 4 years of related experience substituted for education.

Responsibilities

• Performs case management including documenting client activities and reviewing court orders.
• Conducts face-to-face interviews and ongoing assessments to determine treatment needs.
• Develops case plans to guide supervision and ensure compliance with court conditions.
• Assists in preparing comprehensive compliance reports and professional testimony.
