Job summary

Orionplacement in Texas is seeking a probate and estate planning attorney in Arlington. Manage probate matters with autonomy, build direct client relationships, and draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents.

This hybrid role requires a Texas Bar license, 2+ years probate experience, strong drafting and counseling skills, and the ability to own matters from intake to resolution. Salary ranges from $100,000 to $150,000 with bonuses and firm support.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
• 2+ years of probate and estate planning experience.
• Experience independently managing client matters and deadlines.
• Strong legal drafting, research, communication, and client counseling skills.
• Ability to take ownership of matters and follow through without extensive oversight.
• In-house and solo practice backgrounds are welcome.
• Family law or related litigation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage probate and estate planning matters with meaningful autonomy and direct client contact.
• Handle contested and uncontested probate matters, including independent administrations, determinations of heirship, and muniment of title proceedings.
• Draft wills, powers of attorney, medical directives, revocable trusts, and other estate planning documents.
• Counsel clients on estate planning strategies and guide families through the probate process.
• Manage matters from initial consultation through resolution while keeping clients informed and engaged.
• Work closely with paralegals and legal assistants on drafting, filings, case management, and administrative support.
• Meet a monthly billable expectation of approximately 120 hours while maintaining responsive, high-quality client service.
• Collaborate with attorneys across complementary practice areas when client needs overlap.
