Job summary

Stern & Mauck, LLC seeks an Associate Attorney to handle probate matters within its boutique estate planning, elder law, and probate practice. This role offers competitive pay, full benefits, and a four-day workweek in a family-oriented setting.

Candidates must have a JD, be admitted in Kansas and/or Missouri, and possess excellent writing and communication skills. Prior probate experience is preferred but not required, with guidance from seasoned attorneys.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in Kansas and/or Missouri (dual admission preferred).
• Experience in probate law is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Commitment to client service and building long-term relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage probate cases from inception to conclusion.
• Prepare and file petitions.
• Attend court hearings.
• Administer estates under attorney supervision.
