  • Collaborate with clients, executors, and financial institutions for compliant administration.

Title: Probate & Estate Administration Attorney

Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000 base + bonus potential

About The Opportunity

We have partnered with a respected law firm in Cleveland, Ohio, to find a detail-oriented Probate Attorney to manage estate administration and fiduciary accounting. This role offers high operational autonomy without the stress of mandatory billable hour quotas, making it ideal for an attorney or legal financial specialist seeking exceptional work-life balance while managing sophisticated probate matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee full-cycle probate and trust administration proceedings in Ohio probate courts.
  • Prepare, review, and file detailed court accountings, estate inventory reports, and tax documents.
  • Calculate beneficiary distributions and resolve complex financial or asset allocation questions.
  • Partner closely with clients, executors, and financial institutions to ensure efficient estate administration and legal compliance.
Candidate Qualifications
  • Education & Licensure: J.D. from an accredited law school and active admission to the Ohio State Bar. A degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent financial experience) is highly advantageous.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of dedicated probate, estate administration, or fiduciary accounting experience. Exceptional candidates in their 2nd year of practice with strong accounting backgrounds will also be considered.
  • Skills: Solid grasp of Ohio probate law, fiduciary accounting practices, and court filing procedures.
