Job summary

Substitute Custodian position at Sylvania District-wide involves maintaining a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment by performing custodial duties as needed when regular staff are unavailable.

The role requires a high school diploma, OSHA-WISHA compliance, strong communication, and the ability to operate cleaning equipment. Spanish language skills and experience with diverse groups are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA-WISHA standards knowledge.
• Effective communication and customer-service oriented.
• Ability to operate buffing machines, scrubbers, vacuums, and other cleaning equipment.
• Ability to assess building needs and respond accordingly.
• Perform essential functions with/without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill custodial duties when permanent staff are absent.
• Maintain a safe, attractive, clean learning environment for students.
