An informal, active family based on the Upper East Side seeks a proactive full-time Family Assistant / Personal Assistant to bring consistency and thoughtful support to the household. This private role is entirely separate from the principals' business interests and will focus on keeping the city residence, family routines, and seasonal needs organized, supplied, and prepared.
The ideal candidate has a true concierge mentality, notices what needs attention, and finds productive ways to help during quieter periods. Warm, capable, and low-ego, this person will anticipate busy stretches and travel, take practical needs off the family's plate, and become an invaluable extension of the household.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Own the daily household flow, anticipate needs, and keep personal and family requests moving to completion
- Manage groceries, pantry and refrigerator inventory, household supplies, and routine home stocking
- Source recipes and prepare simple family-style meals while maintaining strict food-allergy and dietary protocols
- Coordinate supplemental private-chef or meal-drop support when helpful
- Handle errands, shopping, bulk-supply runs, dry cleaning, returns, packing, and other practical requests
- Coordinate priorities and special projects with the Housekeeper while maintaining a respectful working relationship
- Manage vendors, maintenance, repairs, touch-ups, and organization projects to keep the home in excellent order
- Prepare the family for travel by organizing packing, supplies, schedules, and the home before departure
- Provide light logistical support to older children as needed without functioning as primary childcare
- Support the summer residence and family travel, including meals, supplies, household readiness, and pet care

- Legally able to work within the United States
- Prior experience as a Family Assistant, Personal Assistant, or Household Assistant for a private family

- Comfortable coordinating a Housekeeper and vendors without creating an overly formal environment
- Warm, discreet, reliable, service-oriented, and comfortable in a busy but informal family home
- Good judgment and clear communication with principals, household staff, and older children
- Genuinely comfortable with dogs and able to coordinate walkers, supplies, and routine pet needs
- Available to work from the Hamptons during the summer and travel with the family as needed
