Tiny Tunes Daycare in New York is seeking an experienced Teacher Assistant to support the lead teacher, supervise children, and help deliver age-appropriate activities in a safe, structured environment.

The ideal candidate is proactive, patient, able to follow directions, and a strong team player who communicates professionally with families and staff. This is a hands-on role requiring reliability and a willingness to contribute to all classroom operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with children is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively.
• Ability to meet the physical and active demands of supervising and assisting young children.
• Must meet all applicable employment, background-check, and childcare regulatory requirements.

Responsabilités

• Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom routines, lesson implementation, and age-appropriate educational activities.
• Actively supervise children and maintain awareness of their safety, behavior, and individual needs at all times.
• Support classroom management by reinforcing rules, setting appropriate boundaries, and helping children follow directions.
• Assist with meals, toileting, diapering when applicable, handwashing, transitions, and other daily care routines.
• Prepare classroom materials, organize learning centers, clean and sanitize surfaces, and maintain an orderly environment.
• Engage children in meaningful conversations, play, and learning activities rather than remaining passive or waiting to be directed.
• Follow all program policies, health and safety procedures, confidentiality requirements, and instructions from supervisors.
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with coworkers, supervisors, and families when appropriate.
• Recognize and report safety concerns, behavioral changes, incidents, and children's needs promptly.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, accountability, and a willingness to receive feedback and improve.

Formation

High school diploma or GED

Some college preferred
