Job summary

Tamarack Golf Course in East Brunswick, NJ is seeking a part-time Pro Shop/Cart Attendant for a seasonal role lasting up to six months. You’ll assist golfers, maintain tee sheets and stock merchandise while delivering great guest service.

Position requires high school education and fluent English. Lift up to 40 lbs, stand long periods, and operate golf carts. Pay is $15.92–$16.00 per hour, with Troon benefits including healthcare, 401(k) and New Jersey Earned Sick Leave.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adhere to company policies, procedures and controls.
• Assist golf professionals with checking in golfers and maintaining tee sheets and pace of play.
• Assist with receiving merchandise and purchase order procedures.
• Rotate shop displays.
• Move and return carts from the cart barn; clean, fuel and inspect carts after use.
• Ensure carts are available for players; relay complaints to the Pro Shop.
• Assist with preparing for golf tournaments and stock room organization.
• Assist with pricing merchandise and maintaining inventory levels.

Tamarack Golf Course, located in East Brunswick, NJ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Pro Shop/Cart Attendant! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type:

Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

Compensation:

$15.92 - $16.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to continually monitor, implement and adhere to all company goals, policies, procedures and controls.
• Assist golf professionals with the checking in golfers and maintain a properly functioning tee sheet and pace of play.
• Assist with receiving merchandise and adhere to purchase order procedures.
• Assist with the rotation of shop displays.
• Bringing carts from the cart barn in the morning and returning carts to the cart barn at the end of the day
• Cleaning, fueling, and checking carts after each use
  
• Ensure the carts are available for player use at all times
  
• Receive and communicate complaints to the Pro Shop
  
• Work closely with Pro Shop staff to prepare for and conduct golf tournament
  
• Maintain an organized stock room and assist the buyer and other shop assistants with stock and golf shop cleanliness.
• Assist with pricing of merchandise.
• Assist with maintaining proper inventory counts and levels.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Head Professional.
• Provide service in any and every way. Go the extra mile to provide the standard of service guests expect.

Experience / Education / Certification Requirements:

• High School education or its equivalent.
• Must be able to fluently speak and write the English language.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. to waist height.
• Frequent bending, turning, kneeling and stooping.
• Exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Repetitive motion required including computer entry.Must be able to operate a golf car in a safe manner.
• Normal vision and hearing required.
