Troon's Max A Mandel Golf Course in Laredo, TX is seeking a Pro Shop Attendant to provide friendly guest service, handle reservations, and help with inventory and POS transactions. This role supports both Inside and Outside staff duties, including check-in, cart handling, and greeting players, with a focus on a smooth and welcoming guest experience.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, basic computer skills, and a love for golf.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerk/cashier duties and manage reservations for guests.

• Process green and cart fees in the POS system; assist with cash reconciliation.
• Maintain a clean, safe workplace and secure property daily.
• Assist with setup of equipment and golf carts; support pace of play.

General Description Of Duties And Responsibilities

When acting as an \"Inside\" staff member

• Perform clerk/cashier like duties
• Responsible for processing customer reservations for guests of the golf course
• Provides customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in process
• Arranges and displays golf shop inventory as necessary and directed
• Collects green and cart fees (and other revenue) from guests and processes in the POS system as trainer
• Assists in maintaining a clean, safe workplac
• Assists in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges to daily register at the closing of the da
• Ensure property and it's amenities are secured dail
• Assist with set-up of equipment and golf cart

Perform related duties as assigned by General Manager

• When acting as an “Outside” staff membe
• Perform Starter/Ranger like duties
• Responsible for welcoming and greeting of guests and players in a friendly manner
• Explaining rules and course etiquette to all groups if needed
• Wash and sanitize golf cart fleet, maintain organized storage areas and practice facility
• Assist with the set-up and organization of the golf carts and equipment for any regular tee time starts or outing
• Facilitate orderly and timely pace of play of groups to prevent delay
• Answer all questions in a friendly manner. Keep a record of starting times and golf cart numbers for each group when necessary
• Ensure that each group has four players if possible
• Responsible for the picking up and cleaning practice balls when schedule
• Ensure property and it's amenities are secured daily
• Perform related duties as assigned by General Manager
