Burnham Woods Golf Course is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Golf Shop Attendant. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon.

Summary

The Golf Shop Attendant will be responsible for cleaning all refuse out of carts, ensuring gas carts are filled with gas, washing and waxing carts, and storing and locking all carts at the end of each evening. Must be able to open and close and work weekends.

Pay Range: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Qualifications, Experience and Skill Requirements:

1. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
2. Must be coachable and have basic computer skills.
3. Must be dependable and have a strong work ethic.
4. Knowledge about the game of golf preferred.
5. Must be 21+ due to the selling of alcoholic beverages.

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

When acting as an 'Inside' Staff Member:

1. Responsible for processing customer reservations for guests of the golf course.
2. Provides customer service to arriving guests to help expedite the check-in process.
3. Arranges and displays golf shop inventory as necessary and directed.
4. Collects green and cart fees (and other revenue) from guests and processes in the POS system as trained.
5. Assists in maintaining a clean, safe workplace.
6. Assists in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges to daily register at the closing of the day.
7. Ensure property and its amenities are secured daily.
8. Assist with the set-up of equipment and golf cart.

When acting as an 'Outside' Staff Member:

1. Responsible for welcoming and greeting guests and players in a friendly manner.
2. Explaining rules and course etiquette to all groups if needed.
3. Wash and sanitize the golf cart fleet, maintain organized storage areas and practice facility.
4. Assist with the set-up and organization of the golf carts and equipment for any regular tee time starts or outings.
5. Facilitate orderly and timely pace of play of groups to prevent delays.
6. Answer all questions in a friendly manner. Keep a record of starting times and golf cart numbers for each group when necessary.
7. Ensure that each group has four players if possible.
8. Responsible for picking up and cleaning practice balls when scheduled.
9. Ensure property and its amenities are secured daily.

Perform related duties as assigned by the General Manager.
