Job summary

Troon is seeking a Golf Shop Attendant in Chicago to assist in pro shop operations, handle reservations, and provide exceptional guest service. You will manage the POS system for payments and help maintain inventory while offering friendly, professional service to golfers.

The role is seasonal (up to 6 months) with a hourly pay rate of $16.60–$18.40 and golf privileges across Troon’s 10 Chicago/ Cook County courses. Golf knowledge is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process customer reservations for guests of the golf course.
• Provide customer service to arriving guests to expedite check-in.
• Arrange and display golf shop inventory as necessary and directed.
• Collect green and cart fees and process in the POS system as trained.
• Issue receipts for guest purchases.
• Take messages for staff or guests.
• Assist in packing and unpacking inventory and golf operations supplies.
• Assist in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges to daily register at closing.

Job description

Enjoy your Summer at one of Chicago's most popular and busiest golf courses. Pro Shop Attendants will primarily work the point of sale system, checking golfers in, managing the tee sheet, and providing product knowledge about golf merchandise to golfers to drive sales. In the pro shop, it is important to provide a respectful and professional experience for all golfers that check-in, and make sure guests needs are anticipated and met before, during, and after their round. Compensation is competitive, and all employees will earn golf privileges at all 10 FPG golf courses in the Chicago Cook County area. Golf experience and knowledge of the game is not required but is preferred.

The Golf Shop Attendant will offer friendly and expedient service to the property's guests and assist the golf professional staff in golf shop operations, merchandise sales and other golf-related activities.

Role Type:

Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

Pay Rate:

$16.60 - 18.40 per hour
