Job summary

Alhambra Golf Course in Alhambra, CA is seeking a Golf Shop Attendant to deliver friendly service at the pro shop and on the course. You will handle reservations, cashier duties, and POS transactions while helping guests with check-in and payments.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, basic computer skills, and a passion for golf. This position offers a hands-on hospitality environment with opportunities to engage guests and maintain shop and course operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerk/cashier like duties
• Process customer reservations for guests of the golf course
• Provide customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in process
• Arrange and display golf shop inventory as necessary and directed
• Collect green and cart fees (and other revenue) from guests and processes in the POS system as trained
• Assists in maintaining a clean, safe workplace
• Assists in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges to daily register at the closing of the day
• Ensure property and its amenities are secured daily
• Assist with set-up of equipment and golf carts Perform related duties as assigned by Management Staff
• When acting as an Outside staff member: Welcoming and greeting guests and players in a friendly manner
• Explaining rules and course etiquette to all groups if needed
• Wash and sanitize golf cart fleet, maintain organized storage areas and practice facility
• Assist with the set-up and organization of the golf carts and equipment for any regular tee-time starts or outings
• Facilitate orderly and timely pace of play of groups to prevent delay
• Answer all questions in a friendly manner. Keep a record of starting times and golf cart numbers for each group when necessary
• Ensure that each group has four players if possible
• Responsible for the picking up and cleaning practice balls when schedule
• Ensure property and its amenities are secured daily
• Perform related duties as assigned by General Manager
