Essential Job Functions: Performs a variety of sales and clerical duties in the management of the tennis center pro shop and in the merchandising of various tennis equipment and supplies at the Beaumont Municipal Tennis Center. Sells merchandise such as tennis balls, rackets, shirts, as well as food and drink concessions. Registers players, schedules starting times, collects fees and records receipts; provides information and interprets rules to visitors and users of the tennis facility. Cleans and maintains facilities on a daily basis. Stocks inventory for goods and concessions. Operates a cash register and concession distribution equipment. Interacts with the public and visitors in a pleasant and cordial manner.

Must be available to work 29 hours during center hours of operation: Monday – Thursday 8 am – 9 pm; Friday - Saturday 8 am – 6 pm and Sunday 12 pm – 6 pm. Knowledge: Knowledge of the game of tennis is a plus, but it is not required. Knowledge of sales and cash register operations and reporting. Basic knowledge of tennis. Knowledge of general rules, functions, and procedures involved in cashier operations.
Skills/Abilities: Ability to maintain pro shop inventories, operate a computer terminal, printer, cash drawer, calculator, typewriter, copier and vacuum. Ability to perform arithmetic computations quickly and accurately. Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with other employees and patrons. Ability to demonstrate flexibility in executing various job functions as required. Must be comfortable and accurate with handling cash. Ability to perform minor custodial functions.
Physical Requirements: Constantly hears and sees; frequently hears, writes, uses computer, calculator and cash register; sorts, stands, sits, walks, mops, vacuums, and lifts or pushes objects weighing up to 10 lbs. Infrequently squats and bends. Uses cleaning solvents while performing custodial services in pro shop.
Education/Experience: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Some experience/ education in sales or as a cashier of related experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. This position requires working on-site.
