Job description

To thrive as a Pro Paint Specialist, you must be approachable, organized, and genuinely interested in helping our customers. Basic computer skills are necessary to use our customer management software. An outgoing personality with a positive attitude will help you start conversations with strangers, and being a self-starter will be useful to jump in and help wherever needed. No previous experience or knowledge in paint or sales is required; we will teach you everything you need to know, making this a perfect starting point to launch your career.

As our PPS or Pro Paint Specialist with Behr, you'll work in a Home Depot store as a sales specialist focusing on professional painting contractors and their needs. Working independently and with the Pro Desk staff, you'll meet and build relationships with local pros who rely on Behr for quality products and excellent customer service. When outside reps send contractors to you for paint, you'll provide personalized service by collaborating with them to find the right products, mixing paint, and collecting necessary tools, ensuring they are in and out quickly to get back to work. You'll make our professional customers feel like they had a premium paint store experience.

Here's what we're looking for:

1. An outgoing personality: Support the Home Depot Pro Desk by introducing yourself to contractors, understanding their business and needs, maintaining relationships, and following up on their jobs and future needs.
2. Collaboration: Work closely with Behr's outside sales reps and store staff. Assist with pulling and tinting orders for pickup. This may require occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs.
3. Basic computer skills: Enter leads and contacts into Salesforce. Training is provided, but prior computer knowledge is a plus.
4. Bilingual skills: Not required but advantageous, as many contractors speak a second language.
