Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Athens, OH is seeking a Delivery Driver to pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers. You will also pick up returns and cores, drop off sales flyers, and collect credit accounts daily.

Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, assist in upselling, and keep the store tidy. Requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma, and the ability to work flexible hours. Safety and customer service come first.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, parts catalogs and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills for transactions and measurements.
• Ability to work flexible days, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
• Pick up returns and cores
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
• Daily collection of credit accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
• Other duties as assigned
• Speak and write English; read safety and procedure documents
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds with assistance
