Summary
As a Pro*C Software Developer at Gainwell, you will be performing design, development, testing activities. Supporting the full lifecycle of development processes for creating services. Investigating and resolving complex business and technical product integration matters of significance. Focusing on a specific product or family of technologies across multiple platforms; functioning independently within a business area and assisting at the enterprise level to influence technical decisions during various project phases.
Your role in our mission
Essential Job Functions
- Provides design documents and translates them into component-level designs to accelerate development.
- Provides design expertise in support of development team efforts to provide flexible reusable components to increase cost effectiveness. Analyzes, designs, and reviews application and suite of application designs to ensure customer specifications are met.
- Acts as liaison between application architects and development teams to ensure coordination of product development and implementation. Works with product development teams and senior designers to develop accurate and relevant design requirements.
- Assists in reviewing and analyzing information gathered during technical research, evaluating tools and methodologies to ensure adherence to current industry, client, and company standards. Develops and provides technical documentation; participates in and oversees test plan development, integration, and deployment.
- Participates in business process sessions, project meetings, and joint application development sessions to communicate product design decisions to departmental personnel.
- Functions as a domain expert, working closely with software developers to explain application design, and coordinates activities to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Utilizes experience in development methodologies, coding, documentation, testing, and industry standards to define and develop project requirements, specifications, and detailed application designs.
- Provides leadership and guidance to less experienced personnel, ensuring application designs meet specifications.

- Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents programs. Assists in modifying company products and/or customer/internal systems to meet client and end-user needs.
- Gathers information from the system, analyzes program and time requirements, and prepares documentation for changes.
- Researches and analyzes existing systems and program requirements under periodic supervision.
- Designs programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs.
- Writes specifications for moderately complex programs.
- Assists in resolving production support problems. Develops and suggests alternative approaches for problem resolution.
- Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs. Identifies issues as appropriate.
- Creates appropriate documentation such as program code and technical documentation.
- Conducts quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.
- Expertise in batch job automation and notification services.
- Complex SQL work experience and query tuning expertise.
- Experience working with Member, Managed Care, Provider, Financial, Claims domain is a plus.
