Job summary

Land of Lincoln Legal Aid seeks a Pro Bono Manager for its Administrative Office. Land of Lincoln provides free civil legal services to low-income individuals across 65 counties in Illinois, empowering communities to advocate for themselves.

The Manager will supervise pro bono staff and volunteers, recruit a diverse pool of volunteers, provide training, and create innovative opportunities beyond traditional case work.

Qualifications

• Admission to Illinois Bar or eligible for reciprocity.
• Experience in legal aid and/or pro bono work preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal, analytical, writing, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to supervise law students, staff, and volunteers.
• Experience recruiting volunteers and engaging the legal community.
• Motivated, able to work independently or in a team.
• Commitment to social justice.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to develop, implement, and manage volunteer programs.
• Design and implement volunteer recruitment systems.
• Supervise pro bono staff and volunteers.
• Build external relationships with pro bono stakeholders.
• Collaborate with regional offices to create local initiatives.
• Manage a program-wide pro bono training program.
