Job summary

Piedmont Newton Hospital in Covington, GA is seeking a PRN wound/ostomy specialist to join our care team. You will assess, treat, and educate patients with acute and chronic wounds, working with physicians and nursing staff to plan and implement care.

The role requires RN, PT, or OT licensure in Georgia, BCLS certification, and at least 2 years of clinical wound/ostomy experience; the position offers flexible hours to support patient needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school in nursing or an allied health field.
• 2 years of clinical wound/ostomy experience preferred.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required and GA licensure (RN/ PT/ OT) as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate, and treat patients with acute and/or chronic wounds; ostomy management and education; and related skin issues.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff and ancillary staff to evaluate, plan and perform patient care.
• Educate patients and families on wound care, ostomy management, and prevention strategies.
