Job summary

Advocate Health's Lutheran General Hospital Vascular Lab seeks a Part-time PRN technologist with vascular imaging expertise to perform STAT and routine vascular studies. You will document histories, assess venous/arterial hemodynamics and work under the lab director to ensure protocol adherence.

The role requires RVT/RVS certification or eligibility, BLS, and flexible availability for AM/PM and on-call coverage, with lifting requirements and patient safety as priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of vascular experience or graduate from an accredited vascular program with an associate's degree.
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) or become RVT/RVS within 9 months after hire.
• BLS certification and knowledge of emergency procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work weekends/holidays; on-call duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Documents complete history and records on all patients.
• Recognizes deep vein thrombosis using established criteria.
• Assesses arterial circulation with pulse doppler, duplex, imaging and segmental pressures.
• Analyzes hemodynamics of carotid and intracranial circulation and documents per protocol.
• Maps venous/arterial structures for surgical planning and grafts.
