Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist in North Carolina to support the Ultrasound department. The role involves verifying orders, assisting Radiologists with invasive procedures, and maintaining high-quality exams while delivering patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must be ARDMS or ARRT certified.
• Graduate of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program preferred.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient.
• Assists Radiologist in performance of invasive procedures.
• Evaluates technical quality of exam and develops a superior varied technique for elevated efficiency in the department.
• Supports patient-centered care by treating each staff member as a caregiver for patient needs.
• Reports malfunctioning equipment to the Assistant Director, Lead Sonographer or Engineer.
• Operates the Radiology computer system, entering and charging exams and supplies.
• Keeps work area neat and stocked and adheres to department rules and professionalism.
