Job summary

Ashe Memorial Hospital seeks an Ultrasound Technologist – PRN to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures. The role involves ensuring accurate patient positioning, managing imaging workflows, and maintaining equipment. Candidates should have completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography, CPR certification, and ideally one year of ultrasound experience. Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of ultrasound experience preferred; new graduates may be considered.
• Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) preferred.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure proper patient positioning and transducer selection.
• Capture and submit diagnostic images to the Radiologist.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and exam rooms.
• Utilize electronic systems for orders and documentation.
• Manage imaging workflow through PACS.
• Exercise independent clinical judgment and attention to detail.
• Cross-train in sonography practices as needed.
