Akumin is seeking a qualified Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound imaging procedures on patients. This role involves gathering patient histories and assisting the Radiologist with clinical findings.
The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and ARDMS or ARRT(S) certification along with 1-2 years of ultrasound experience. Strong customer service and organizational skills are essential for this position.
Local travel may be required, and candidates should be capable of performing a range of physical tasks.
The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound imaging procedures on all patients to provide the interpreting Radiologist an accurate clinical history of patient signs and symptoms.
The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions during transport of patients if working on a mobile unit, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
More than 50% of the time: sit, stand, walk; repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs; see, speak and hear to communicate with patients.
Less than 50% of the time: stoop, kneel or crawl; climb and balance; carry and lift (ability to move non‑ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or to exam).
