Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist in Wisconsin. The role involves performing ultrasound exams, ensuring patient safety, and documenting results. You will work with physicians and radiology staff to provide quality patient care, with variable, as-needed shifts and on-site duties.

Responsibilities include equipment prep, patient positioning, history review, and image sharing, while maintaining QA standards and assisting with procedures as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Minimum one to three years of experience preferred; new graduates considered.
• ARDMS or ARRT sonography registration or registry eligible.
• Registry eligible partners must register within 12 months; second specialty within 2 years.
• CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment per safety protocols.
• Ensure patient safety during sonographic examination.
• Review patient history, prep, and exam limitations.
• Assist with medical record/image sharing as needed.
• Operate RIS/PACS and document pertinent information in EMR.
• Assist radiologist and healthcare team with procedures as needed.
